Who will be the winner? Microsoft, Yahoo, Google or ... ?

Whether you are in an IS related business or not, you could hear the news about "Mircosoft made an unsolicited offer of $31 a share, or $44.6 billion, to buy Yahoo!" last Friday.

There are lots of discussions on the internet, such as, will Yahoo accept the deal? Why Mircosoft made this deal? Does she worry Google but can't find another way to fight back? Did Mircosoft make a correct decision? Is there another way to Mircosoft to win Google? What is the impact to the Internet on this deal? and etc.

No double, Google wins the market is because of her searching methodology. However, Google also has her worries about the market growth (Google’s quarter falls short of expectations; Social networking not monetizing well). Moreover, will her searching metholodology still be good enough after a decade year or less? If Mircosoft or Yahoo wants to win Google, they must know her major weaknesses to users and find the way to eliminate these weaknesses on their services....

Who will be the winner? I think the one who could find/develop a new way to fulfill internet users' needs, or the one who can tell users what are their needs. There are tons of information on the Internet. Sometimes, we don't know what we are looking for, or we waste the time to find information. Therefore, lots of Netheads have talking about the Semantic Web - that formats web content to be understandable by the web.

To buy another company could be a short term solution only ....
